How do I log on for the first time, after installation?
In order to log on for the first time, you can simply run the app when it finishes installing or search for it in your Windows search bar, as shown below.
Once you click on the Hamilton Core App, the "Login' screen will be opened by default:
The first step will be to switch your settings. On the 'Settings' tab, enter the Production URL as follows: https://service.hamiltoncore.com.
*Optionally, you can choose your new theme! by clicking the 'Theme' dropdown menu. Selecting a new theme will allow you to view the new theme by changing the colors/fonts
Next, you will need to reset your credentials so that you can log in. Simply click on the 'Reset Login' tab and enter your email address and subscription name - as you entered when you signed up to Hamilton. Then select whether you would like to receive your PIN via email or SMS.
Once your PIN has been sent to you, a prompt will appear to inform you that the PIN Was sent via the method you selected. You will need to go to your email or phone and get the PIN number which was sent to you before continuing.
Once you click 'OK', you will notice that the question 'Do you have a reset PIN?' toggles to 'Yes', which will allow you to enter a verification PIN and your new password. Enter your verification PIN and your New Password and then click the 'Generate' button.
Click 'Generate' - it will generate a new password for you, AND install the security certificate on your PC (which locks your login to the current PC). Next, click the 'Refresh' button to load the Certifcate list. You should then be able to find your new login displayed in the 'Login Certificate' dropdown menu. Click the 'Login' button.
How does the application update?
The application will auto-update so there is nothing you will need to do! Hamilton Core for Windows is installed and updated through the Microsoft App Store. Each time it loads it will check for and run updates.
It's a good idea to keep your version of Hamilton Core for Windows updated at all times - as we are constantly upgrading and improving our solution.
